February Update

February came and went before we even noticed! Our month was fairly uneventful. We celebrated Valentine's Day and the Oscars. Each year, we print the ballots and have a little friendly competition. I won this year with 16 Correct. I hadn't seen any of the movies this year, which I think helped me. The only movie John saw was the Curious Case of Benjamin Button so that was his go-to answer, which explains his second-place finish!

As many of you know, we bought our house with an unfinished back yard. John spent a good part of last summer (and our bank account :) ) finishing it. Our dogs decided to help with the yard work last week when they broke out of their gate and caused mass destruction! Thankfully our neighbor caught them in the act and put them back where they belong before they destroyed the little bit of grass we had. Grass is a rare treasure here in New Mexico. Unfortunately, he did not catch them before the ate the entire drip system. Here are a couple of pics of Tessa and Lily's dirty work.

All the Rose Bushes where De-thorned (and De-leaved),
there were holes all over the yard and the path lights ripped up!

The drip system all ripped up!

That black tube is not suppose to be there and
neither is the brick or that hole!

Naughty Girls with the evidence on their noses!

The last weekend in February Albuquerque hosts The Firey Food Show, which is basically like a trade show for all the yummy, spicy food you can imagine. It is at the Sandia Resort and Casino, which is a beautiful resort on the Sandia Pueblo here in Albuquerque. It has a great casino and some of the nicest restaurants in the city. After the Food show, John and I found ourselves somehow in the Bingo Room. We had such a great time! We didn't win any money. Although, we had a false alarm when I yelled out bingo but missed the part where I was suppose to have an "X" We also now own our first Bingo Dabbers!

Us with our losing Bingo Cards and our new Dabbers!

Most of our month was low key---just lots of work and school. We did all find time for some R&R as you can see!
